Dr. Moya Hoke untersucht sozial- und konsumkritischen Themen unserer materiellen Kultur, und setzt diese an der Schnittstelle von Design, Kunst und Handwerk um.
Sie absolvierte die Ausbildung zur Modistin an der Modeschule der Stadt Wien im Schloss Hetzendorf, und schloss 2009 ihr Industrie Design Studium an der Universität für angewandte Kunst ab. 
2025 promovierte sie zum Thema Vermittlung stillen handwerklichen Wissens an der Akademie der bildenden Künste Wien.
Ihre Arbeiten wurden national und international u. a. im MAK – Museum für angewandte Kunst Wien (AUT), Triennale Mailand (IT), Austrian Cultural Forum New York (USA) ausgestellt.
Sie erhielt 2014 das START-Stipendium für Architektur und Design des bmukk. Sie war beteiligt an Projekten in London und Kyoto. Seit 2016 lehrt sie als Assistenzprofessorin an der New Design University St.Pölten (NDU).
Moya Hoke lebt und arbeitet in Wien.

Moya Hoke explores social and consumption critical issues of our material culture, and implements them at the intersection of design, art and craft.
She completed her training as a milliner at the Vienna Fashion School in Hetzendorf. In 2009, she graduated from the University of Applied Arts Vienna with a degree in industrial design.
In 2025, she earned her doctorate at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna with a thesis on the topic of teaching tacit or “silent” craft knowledge.
Her works have been exhibited nationally and internationally at the MAK – Museum of Applied Arts Vienna (AUT), Triennale Milan (IT), Austrian Cultural Forum New York (USA), among others.
She received the START-Fellowship for architecture and design from the bmukk in 2014. She has been involved in projects in London and Kyoto. Since 2014 she is teaching as an assistant professor at the New Design University St.Pölten (NDU).
Moya Hoke lives and works in Vienna.
